FERN
aims to assist in conservation and
promotion of Nepal's biological diversity, ecology, physical
environment, traditional indigenous knowledge and human welfare, from
the adverse impacts arising due to unsustainable development and lack
of appropriate and visionary management of the environment. Gender and
bio-centric principle will be the motivating and guiding factor in
every small or large activities carried out by this organisation, to
achieve its main objectives. FERN
to achieve its main objectives shall carry out activities related to:
- Environmental Impact Assessment.
- Environmental Management System.
- Environmental Information System.
- Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
- Equitable and Justifiable use of Natural
Resources.
- Regulating, managing & mitigating impacts
of air, water, land, noise and other pollutions.
- Increasing environmental awareness and management
capacity of concerned groups or individuals.
- Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary study
and research on various subjects and issues of
environmental concern.
- Disseminating results of study and research to
the people.
- Advocating for/against policies, events &
happenings concerned with the environment.
For
achievement of its objectives, FERN
shall establish contact and develop relationship with various
individuals, groups and governmental and non governmental organizations
